Nintendo are looking for new formulas to increase their revenues in order to stabilize their numbers and soothe their investors. Not necessarily in that order, but the Big N could make changes in the near future related to their 3DS strategy and their trials polity.

Iwata has been interviewed by Nikkei and the president has marked part of the Nintendo’s roadmap:

– Nintendo are planning to re-create more past games on 3DS. Moreover, they could produce games based on smartphone offerings. Through this movement, Nintendo would keep the cost of developments stable and the price of their games would not be increased.

Free trial versions will be increased. The idea is to expand the base of possible costumers that could buy a release version after the taste of the demo.

So, Nintendo are going to bring to 3DS more remasters. Most likely games from the N64 era.

Thanks, Neo-GAF.
