Rumor: Microsoft will replace MS Points

It appears that Microsoft Points will only work for a  few months more. Microsoft will change the old method with real currency and a gift cards system.

The new gift card system will be similar to the system Apple used in iTunes or to Sony’s SEN network cards.

You will have the possibility to buy gift cards in some stores. The currency system will work with credit, debit, and gift cards and it will be compatible across Microsoft’s Windows Store, Windows Phone Store, and Xbox.

The announcement of this new system should be in the upcoming E3 and it will be launched later this year in time for Durango/Next Xbox.
